OnlineBackupClient does not perform backup as scheduled
In certain conditions the OnlineBackupClient or OnlineBackupService may fail to perform the scheduled backup. Although issues have been resolved in 3.8, it can still occur. In that case we recommend to bring the client software in ‘known condition’ under which it will perform correctly:
1. Start the client
2. Check the schedule and adjust it if necessary.
3. Close the client completely (even in System Tray)
4. Restart Windows Service (OnlineBackupService.exe)
The Windows Service will perform all backups as scheduled.
If this does not resolve the problem:
1. Start the client
2. Do not log off the machine but ‘lock’ it instead.
The client will perform all scheduled backups correctly. Furthermore, we recommend to create separate backup tasks for plugin data (such as Exchange, SQL and System State).
