Problem: After a backup of Exchange the status of the report show that 0 files have been backed up and that 0Kb has been uploaded.
Probable causes:
1. The temp-folder is too long to create the temporary files for Exchange
2. There is not enough available disk space to copy the Exchange data to a temporary folder
3. The Exchange plugin is not active.
4. Another backup software package is making a backup of Exchange and is truncating the log-files
5. BackupAgent can not make a backup of all Exchange stores at once
Resolution:
In case of cause 1 and/or 2:
Please choose a temp-folder with a short path with enough available disk space to copy Exchange (e.g. E:\Temp). It is recommended that you restart the OnlineBackupService after changing these settings.
In case of cause 3:
Activate the Exchange plugin. Click on the Options-icon in the toolbar. Go to Backup&Restore > Exchange and check 'Activate Exchange Backup'. It is recommended that you restart the OnlineBackupService after changing these settings.
In case of cause 4:
Please make sure that all backups of Exchange are 'copy' or 'differential'. If another software package is making incremental backups, OnlineBackupClient can no longer make a backup.
In case of cause 5:
Plan seperate tasks for different Exchange stores and start the first backup manually. This situation can specifically occur when running OnlineBackupClient in a Terminal Session.
