Several reasons can cause the Online Backup Client not to connect to the server.
To connect to the server properly:
- Check if the time and date on your PC is configured correctly to the actual time (this may vary 24 hours in 3.7.0.1)
- Check if firewall software does not limit OnlineBackupClient.exe and/or OnlineBackupService.exe to access the internet
- Check if the username and/or password are correct
If this does not help please send us your configuration files per email to support@backupagent.com:
- Browse to Documents&Settings\All Users\Application Data\OnlineBackupClient (altenatively Documents&Settings\[Current User]\Application Data\OnlineBackupClient)
- Select logs.xml and settings.xml
- Attach these files to the email
Notes:
- Application Data is a hidden folder
- Version 3.5.0.2 of the OnlineBackupClient stores logs.xml and settings.xml in the program installation folder
